Instructions
Preparation Steps
Cook bacon until crisp. Remove bacon and set aside, reserving bacon grease.
Sauté onion in bacon grease until softened. Add cabbage and potatoes and cook for 5 minutes.
Stir in chicken broth, thyme, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes, or until potatoes are tender.
Stir in cooked bacon. Serve hot.
