- ¼ cup 30g shredded provolone or mozzarella cheese
- 2 tablespoons butter melted
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
For the Crispy Topping:
- ½ cup 60g panko breadcrumbs
- 1 tablespoon melted butter
- 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese
Prepare the Chicken:
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
In a small bowl, mix olive oil, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, Italian seasoning, Worcestershire sauce, and lemon juice.
Rub the mixture over the chicken breasts.
Cook the Chicken:
Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and sear the chicken for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown.
Transfer to a baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
Prepare the Parmesan Crust:
In a bowl, mix Parmesan cheese, provolone cheese, melted butter, mayonnaise, and garlic powder.
Assemble & Broil:
Remove the chicken from the oven and spread the Parmesan mixture evenly over each piece.
Sprinkle the crispy topping over the cheese layer.
Broil on high for 2-3 minutes, or until the top is golden and crispy.
- Use chicken thighs instead of breasts for a juicier texture.
- Swap provolone with cheddar or Swiss cheese for a different flavor.
- Broiling for the last 2-3 minutes gives a crispy, golden topping.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
