Delicious and chewy maple cookies with a sweet maple glaze. Perfect for any occasion!

  • 0.75 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 teaspoon baking soda
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 cup maple syrup

Maple Glaze

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon milk

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  • Stir in the maple syrup until the dough is smooth.
  • Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, about 2 inches apart.
  • Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
  • Let the cookies cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
  • While the cookies are cooling, prepare the glaze. In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, maple syrup, and milk until smooth and drizzly.
  • Drizzle the glaze over the cooled cookies.

Notes

These cookies are best enjoyed fresh, but can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
