Preparation Steps
In a saucepan, combine heavy cream, milk, sugar, and salt.
Heat over medium heat, stirring until sugar is dissolved. Do not boil.
Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract. Allow to cool slightly.
Pour mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to manufacturer's instructions.
