Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add onion and garlic and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
Add vegetable broth, diced tomatoes, carrots, celery, zucchini, green beans, oregano, salt, and pepper to the pot. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes.
Add pasta and kidney beans to the pot. Cook until pasta is tender, about 10 minutes.
Stir in fresh parsley. Serve hot.

Serve with a sprinkle of parmesan cheese if desired.
