Preparation Steps
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.

Gradually add the flour to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined. Do not overmix.

Roll small portions of dough into balls (about 1 inch in diameter) and place them on the prepared baking sheets, leaving some space between them.
Gently flatten the tops of the cookies with the bottom of a glass or a fork.
Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden brown.
Let the cookies cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days. You can also add a pinch of salt to the dough for extra flavor.
