Mushroom Swiss Patty Melt: 7 Tips for the Ultimate Cheesy Delight
Indulge in a savory Mushroom Swiss Patty Melt! This recipe features juicy beef patties, sautéed mushrooms, melted Swiss cheese, and a delicious garlic aioli, all nestled between toasted sourdough bread.
In a small bowl, mix together mayonnaise, minced garlic, and lemon juice to create the garlic aioli. Set aside.
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add sliced mushrooms and cook until softened and lightly browned, about 8-10 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
Divide ground beef into two equal portions and form into patties. Season with salt and pepper.
Melt one tablespoon of butter in the skillet over medium-high heat. Cook patties for 3-4 minutes per side, or until cooked to your desired doneness.
During the last minute of cooking, top each patty with two slices of Swiss cheese and allow it to melt.
Spread garlic aioli on both slices of sourdough bread. Place one patty on top of one slice of bread, then top with sautéed mushrooms. Place the other slice of bread on top.
Melt the remaining one tablespoon of butter in the skillet. Grill the patty melt for 2-3 minutes per side, or until golden brown and crispy.
Slice in half and serve immediately. Enjoy!
