Instructions
Preparation Steps
In a medium saucepan, combine the heavy cream, whole milk, sugar, and salt.
Heat over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the sugar is dissolved. Do not boil.
Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
Pour the mixture into a bowl, cover, and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight.
Pour the chilled mixture into your ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions.
In the last few minutes of churning, add the chopped Oatmeal Cream Pies.
Transfer the ice cream to an airtight container and freeze for at least 2 hours before serving.
