Main Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar

  • 1 cup raisins

Instructions

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt. Set aside.
  • In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  • Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the creamed mixture, mixing until just combined.
  • Stir in the rolled oats and raisins.
  • Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.
  • Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown but the centers are still a bit soft.
  • Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For an extra chewy texture, refrigerate the dough for at least an hour before baking.
