Old Bay Shrimp Salad

This refreshing shrimp salad is spiced with Old Bay seasoning and tossed with a creamy dressing, perfect for a summer lunch.

  • 1.5 pounds shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons Old Bay seasoning or to taste
  • 0.5 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • 0.5 cup celery diced
  • 2 tablespoons red onion finely chopped

Preparation Steps

  • Bring a large pot of water to a boil and add Old Bay seasoning. Add the shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes until they are pink and opaque.
  • Drain the shrimp and run under cold water to stop cooking. Pat dry.
  • In a large bowl, mix mayonnaise, lemon juice, celery, and red onion. Add the shrimp and toss to coat.
  • Chill in the refrigerator for at least 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

This salad can be served on lettuce leaves or in a sandwich.
