  • 1 cup whole milk warmed
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 teaspoon paprika smoked
  • 1 teaspoon salt to taste
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper freshly ground

Preparation Steps

  • Place the potatoes in a large pot and cover with cold water. Bring to a boil and cook until tender, about 20-25 minutes.
  • Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot.
  • Add warmed milk, melted butter, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  • Mash the potatoes until smooth and creamy. Adjust seasoning with more salt if needed.

Notes

For extra flavor, garnish with chopped chives or green onions just before serving.
