Philly Cheesesteak Sloppy Joes

A delicious twist on classic sloppy joes, featuring the flavors of a Philly cheesesteak.

Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb thinly sliced ribeye steak
  • 1 cup sliced onions
  • 0.5 cup green bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup sloppy joe sauce
  • 8 oz provolone cheese, sliced
  • 6 count hamburger buns

Preparation Steps

  • In a large skillet, cook the steak, onions, and green pepper in olive oil until the steak is browned and the vegetables are softened.
  • Stir in beef broth and sloppy joe sauce. Bring to a simmer and cook for 5 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened.
  • Place provolone cheese on top of the meat mixture and let it melt.
  • Serve the mixture on hamburger buns.

Notes

For a spicier kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the sauce.
