Instructions
Preparation Steps
In a large bowl, combine warm milk, yeast, and sugar. Let stand for 5 minutes until foamy.
Add salt, butter, and flour. Mix until a soft dough forms.
Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead for 5-7 minutes, until smooth and elastic.
Place dough in a greased bowl, turning to coat. Cover and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
Punch down the dough and shape into rolls. Place on a baking sheet and let rise for another 30 minutes.
Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
Notes
These rolls are best served warm. Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature.
