Seared Cod Recipe

This Seared Cod recipe is a quick and easy weeknight meal. The cod is seared to perfection and served with a lemon butter sauce.

Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients

  • 1.5 lb Cod Fillets Skin on or off
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 0.5 tsp Salt
  • 0.25 tsp Black Pepper

Lemon Butter Sauce

  • 4 tbsp Butter
  • 2 tbsp Lemon Juice Freshly squeezed
  • 2 tbsp Parsley Chopped

Preparation Steps

  • Pat the cod fillets dry with paper towels. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the cod fillets to the skillet and sear for 3-4 minutes per side, or until cooked through.
  • Remove the cod fillets from the skillet and set aside. Add the butter to the skillet and melt over medium heat. Stir in the lemon juice and parsley.
  • Pour the lemon butter sauce over the cod fillets and serve immediately.

Notes

Serve with rice or roasted vegetables.
