Smothered Pork Chop Casserole

  • 4 pounds pork chops
  • 2 cups diced potatoes
  • 1 cup cream of mushroom soup
  • 0.5 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Season pork chops with salt and pepper. Brown in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Layer potatoes in a greased casserole dish. Top with browned pork chops.
  • In a bowl, whisk together cream of mushroom soup, milk, and thyme. Pour over pork chops and potatoes.
  • Bake for 45 minutes, or until pork chops are cooked through and potatoes are tender.

Notes

Serve hot. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
