Preparation Steps
In a large bowl mix together softened butter, sugar, milk, vanilla and egg until blended well.
Add in the flour, baking powder and salt and mix well.
Take one-third of the cookie dough and roll it out to about 0.25 inch in thickness. Place the remaining dough in the fridge until ready to roll out.
Use cookie cutters to cut out the sugar cookies into desired shapes.
Place the cookies onto parchment paper on cookie sheets and bake at 400°F for 5-8 minutes until there is a slight gold around the bottom edge.

Store in an airtight container to keep the cookies soft and fresh.
