Soft Sugar Cookies Rolled Easy Recipe

A soft and easy rolled sugar cookie recipe that is perfect for holiday baking and cutting into fun shapes.

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup butter softened
  • 3 tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 egg
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1.5 teaspoons baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt

Preparation Steps

  • In a large bowl mix together softened butter, sugar, milk, vanilla and egg until blended well.
  • Add in the flour, baking powder and salt and mix well.
  • Take one-third of the cookie dough and roll it out to about 0.25 inch in thickness. Place the remaining dough in the fridge until ready to roll out.
  • Use cookie cutters to cut out the sugar cookies into desired shapes.
  • Place the cookies onto parchment paper on cookie sheets and bake at 400°F for 5-8 minutes until there is a slight gold around the bottom edge.
