Prep: 5 minutes minutes
Cook: 25 minutes minutes
Total: 30 minutes minutes
Ingredients
- 700 g boneless skinless chicken thighs 5–7 pieces
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 3 tablespoons brown sugar lightly packed
- 1 1/2 tablespoons soy sauce all-purpose or light, not dark
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
- 2 cloves garlic minced
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 220°C/420°F, or 200°C fan.
Line a pan with foil and arrange the chicken thighs flat without bunching them.
Mix the ketchup, brown sugar, soy sauce, vinegar, oil, Worcestershire sauce, and garlic. Spoon about two-thirds over the top of the chicken and reserve the rest.
Bake for 15 minutes, then remove the pan.
Switch the oven to a high grill/broiler and position the shelf about 20 cm/8 inches from the heat.
Spoon the pan juices over the chicken, then dab on the remaining glaze.
Broil for 8–10 minutes until the surface is caramelised. Rest for a few minutes before serving with the pan juices.
