Preparation Steps
In a medium saucepan, combine the strawberries, sugar, and lemon juice.
Cook over medium heat until the strawberries release their juices and soften, about 10 minutes.
Stir in the cornstarch slurry and continue cooking until the sauce thickens, about 3 more minutes.
Remove from heat and let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
This sauce can be stored in the refrigerator for up to a week. Reheat before serving if desired.
