In a large bowl, dissolve yeast and sugar in warm water. Let stand for 5 minutes until foamy.
Add olive oil and salt to the yeast mixture. Gradually add flour, mixing until a soft dough forms.
Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead for 5-7 minutes, or until smooth and elastic. Alternatively, use a stand mixer with a dough hook for 5 minutes.
Place dough in a lightly oiled bowl, turning to coat. Cover with plastic wrap and let rise in a warm place for 1-1.5 hours, or until doubled in size.
Preheat oven to 450°F (232°C). Punch down dough and divide into desired number of portions. Roll out or stretch dough to desired thickness.
Top with your favorite pizza toppings and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until crust is golden brown and cheese is melted and bubbly.
