Instructions
Preparation Steps
Combine flour, oats, 1 cup brown sugar, baking soda, and 0.5 cup butter, mixing until crumbly.
Press firmly into a 13x9x2-inch baking pan.
Bake in a 350°F (180°C) oven for 10 minutes.
For the topping, combine corn syrup, 0.33 cup brown sugar, 0.25 cup butter, and cream in a medium saucepan.
Cook and stir over medium heat until the mixture boils. Remove from heat.
Stir in sliced almonds and vanilla extract.
Pour over the baked crust, spreading evenly.
Bake in the 350°F (180°C) oven for 15 to 20 minutes or until golden.
Cool on a wire rack. Cut into bars or squares and store in the refrigerator.

Store the toffee almond treats in an airtight container in the refrigerator to keep them fresh and chewy.
