Tuna Melt Recipe
A classic tuna melt sandwich with creamy tuna salad and melted cheddar cheese.

Canned Tuna in Water, drained
Flaked light tuna is best

Mayonnaise
Use your favorite brand

Celery, finely chopped

Black Pepper
Freshly ground

Bread
Sourdough or your favorite
4
slices
Cheddar Cheese
Sharp cheddar recommended

Butter
For grilling the sandwiches
Instructions
Preparation Steps
In a medium bowl, combine the tuna, mayonnaise, celery, and black pepper. Mix well.
Spread tuna salad evenly over two slices of bread. Top with cheddar cheese slices.
Top with the remaining slices of bread.
Spread butter on the outside of the sandwiches.
Heat a large skillet or griddle over medium heat. Grill the sandwiches for 3-4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and the cheese is melted.
Cut in half and serve immediately.
Notes
Serve with your favorite chips or a side salad.
