Beach-Themed Cupcakes

These delightful beach-themed cupcakes are perfect for a summer party! Decorated with seashells and sand-colored frosting, they're as fun to make as they are to eat.

  • 1.5 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 cup Granulated sugar
  • 0.5 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 cup Unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 0.75 cup Milk

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a muffin tin with paper liners.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  • In a separate bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk, beginning and ending with the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined.
  • Fill the muffin liners about 2/3 full. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Let cool in the tin for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely. Decorate as desired.

Notes

For a truly beachy look, use blue and white frosting and decorate with edible seashells and sand.
