These Earl Grey Chocolate Muffins are moist, flavorful, and perfect for breakfast or a snack. Infused with Earl Grey tea and studded with chocolate chips, they're a delightful treat.

  • 2.5 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 0.5 cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
  • 1 tsp Baking Soda
  • 0.5 tsp Baking Powder
  • 0.25 tsp Salt
  • 1 cup Buttermilk
  • 0.5 cup Vegetable Oil
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 2 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 2 tbsp Earl Grey Tea Leaves finely ground
  • 1 cup Chocolate Chips

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a muffin tin with paper liners.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and ground Earl Grey tea leaves.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the buttermilk, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract.
  • Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips.
  • Fill each muffin liner about 2/3 full.
  • Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Let the muffins cool in the tin for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Enjoy these muffins warm or at room temperature. Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
