Gluten-Free Hot Dog Buns

These gluten-free hot dog buns are soft, fluffy, and taste just like the real thing! Perfect for a summer BBQ.

  • 1 cup gluten-free all-purpose flour blend
  • 0.5 cup tapioca starch
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup warm water

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a baking sheet.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, tapioca starch, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
  • Add the olive oil and warm water. Mix until a dough forms.
  • Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead for a few minutes until smooth.
  • Divide the dough into 8 equal pieces. Shape each piece into a hot dog bun.
  • Place the buns onto the prepared baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.

Notes

These buns are best served fresh. Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature.
