Preparation Steps
Combine sugar, evaporated milk, butter, and salt in a heavy saucepan.
Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture comes to a full rolling boil.
Boil for 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat.
Add chocolate chips and marshmallow creme. Stir until melted and smooth.
Stir in vanilla extract.
Pour into a greased 9x13 inch pan.
Let cool completely before cutting into squares.
Notes
For a richer flavor, use salted butter. Store in an airtight container at room temperature.
