Preparation Steps
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour an 8x8 inch baking pan.
In a bowl, combine flour, cold butter, powdered sugar, and salt. Cut the butter into the flour mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs.
Press the mixture into the prepared pan to form the crust. Bake for 15 minutes.
In a separate bowl, whisk together melted butter, brown sugar, and corn syrup. Add eggs and vanilla extract, and mix well.
Stir in pecan halves. Pour the filling over the pre-baked crust.
