Irish Cream Oreo Truffles

These Irish Cream Oreo Truffles are a decadent and easy-to-make treat, perfect for St. Patrick's Day or any special occasion. With just a few simple ingredients, you can create a rich and creamy dessert that's sure to impress!

  • 1 package Oreo Cookies Regular or Double Stuf
  • 8 oz Cream Cheese Softened
  • 2 tbsp Irish Cream Liqueur Baileys or similar
  • 12 oz Chocolate Chips Semi-sweet or milk chocolate
  • 1 tsp Vegetable Oil Optional, for smoother chocolate

Preparation Steps

  • Crush the Oreo cookies into fine crumbs using a food processor or by placing them in a resealable bag and crushing them with a rolling pin.
  • In a large bowl, combine the crushed Oreo crumbs and softened cream cheese. Mix well until fully combined.
  • Stir in the Irish Cream liqueur until evenly distributed.
  • Roll the mixture into 1-inch balls and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm up.
  • Melt the chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth. Add vegetable oil if desired for a smoother consistency.
  • Dip each truffle into the melted chocolate, coating it completely. Place the coated truffles back on the parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • Refrigerate for another 15-20 minutes, or until the chocolate is set.

Notes

For a festive touch, sprinkle the truffles with green sprinkles or edible glitter before the chocolate sets.
