  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 2.25 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 0.25 tsp Salt
  • 1 cup Pecans finely chopped (optional)

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a large bowl, cream together the butter and 0.5 cup powdered sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in vanilla extract.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour and salt. Gradually add to the creamed mixture, mixing until just combined. Stir in pecans (if using).
  • Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and place on ungreased baking sheets.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the bottoms are lightly browned.
  • Let cool for a few minutes on the baking sheets before rolling in powdered sugar. Roll again while still warm.
  • Let cool completely on wire racks. Store in an airtight container.
